As soon as we walked in we fell in love with the home. The pictures don't lie and this is money well spent. We will definitely be coming back!

Beautifully, thoughtfully appointed and very comfortable. The owner was attentive and helpful, obviously taking a lot of pride in providing a deluxe space.

FAQ

Hiawassee Lodging Questions

What types of accommodation are available at Tranquille Resort?
We have 7 cabins ranging from a 500 SF studio (The Loft, sleeps 2) to a 2,200 SF three-bedroom lodge (The Lodge, sleeps 10). All cabins are fully renovated with full kitchens, Wi-Fi, Smart TVs, and lake/mountain views. You can also rent the entire resort for groups of up to 30+.
How does check-in work?
We offer contactless self check-in available 24/7. You'll receive instructions and a door code before arrival. Check-in is at 4:00 PM and check-out is at 11:00 AM. No front desk, no wait.
Is there an on-site restaurant?
Amelia's Cafe is on-site and open Fridays and Saturdays from 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM, and Sundays from 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM. It serves coffee and beverages. Water sport rentals (kayaks, paddleboards, GoBoats, pontoons) are also available — see our water rentals page for pricing. All cabins also have full kitchens for cooking.
What is the cancellation policy?
Due to high demand, all stays are non-refundable. If you must cancel and don't have trip insurance, we'll make every effort to rebook your cabin so we can refund that amount or provide a credit toward a future reservation.
Is Hiawassee a good destination for a vacation?
Absolutely. Hiawassee sits on the shores of Lake Chatuge in the Blue Ridge Mountains. It's a quieter, less touristy alternative to Blue Ridge or Helen, with excellent fishing, hiking (including Brasstown Bald and the Appalachian Trail), wineries, and year-round events at the Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds.
Do I need a car to get around?
A car is recommended. Hiawassee is a small mountain town without public transit. However, most attractions are within a 5-30 minute drive, and you can spend entire days on the lake and resort property without needing to leave.

Skip the Hotel. Book a Cabin.

More space. Better views. A kitchen, a fireplace, and a dock on the lake. This is how you stay in Hiawassee.
