Your lakefront home away from home

Tranquille is a boutique collection of rental cabins on Lake Chatuge in Hiawassee, Ga that are ideal for a fantastic lake vacation rental, a weekend mountain getaway or a family reunion. We invite you to visit our North Georgia cabin rentals and Lake houses on beautiful Lake Chatuge in Hiawassee. We are surrounded by Scenic Blue Ridge Mountains. A little taste of heaven, yet close drives from Atlanta, Chattanooga, Greenville, S.C. and most of the Southeastern U.S.

Tranquille is ideal for family vacations, couples getaways, family reunions, corporate outings, religious retreats and weddings! We’re open year-round with many activities for guests of all ages. Some easily accessible activities include fishing, golfing, biking, hiking, waterfalls, horseback riding, white water rafting, tubing down the Chattahoochee River, festivals, fairs and enjoying the seasonal colors of the Georgia mountains in Spring, Summer and Fall.

This property has the following check-in and check-out times and policies.

Check-In4:00 PM - 6:30PM

(If arriving after 6:30PM we will make arrangements to leave your key in your cabin)

Check-Out: 11:00 AM


Cancellation Policies :

Due to high demand, all stays are non refundable. If you do have to cancel and do not have trip insurance we will make every effort possible to rebook your cabin so we can refund you that amount or give you a credit towards a future reservation. 


For full resort bookings, deposits are non refundable, but stays may be canceled up to 60 days prior to arrival and the remaining balance will not be due.

  • Where is Tranquille located?

    Tranquille is in Hiawassee, Georgia. Our cabins are lakefront on Lake Chatuge and we're surrounded by the Appalachian Mountains.

  • What are your business hours?

    Our reservation and front desk team are available daily from 8am till 8pm est.

  • Do you allow pets?

    Yes, we allow pets and charge a one time cleaning fee of $60 with a 2 pet max per unit. All pets must be kept on leashes when outside.


    We have designated clean up areas for dog poo. Owners who do not pick up their dog's poo may be asked to leave the property or charged additional cleaning fees. 

  • Do you offer boat rentals?

    Yes! 


    We offer Lake Chatuge boat rentals for $125/hr, $350 for 4 hours or $450 per day plus fuel. We give discounts for multi day rentals. Boats rentals must be returned by 7pm. All guests are required to wear a life jacket at all times. 


    To reserve your Lake Chatuge boat rental we require a non refundable deposit.

  • Can we rent Kayaks & canoes?

    Kayaks, paddle boards & canoes are available from 8a-6:30pm at Amelia's Cafe. 

  • Do you offer long term stays?

    Yes! Up to 28 days. Please contact us for a discounted stay. 

  • What is your refund policy?

  • Do you provide firewood?

    Firewood is available to purchase from 8a-6:30pm at Amelia's Cafe for $10 per bundle. For cabins with fireplaces, one bundle of firewood is provided. For the firepits you must purchase additional wood. Bringing your own wood is strictly prohibited due to regulations in the area. 

  • Where can I fish on the property?

    You're welcome to fish off the dock as long as other guests are not around. You're welcome to fish on all 600 feet of shoreline, but please be considerate to other guests outside of the hours of 8a-8pm. 

  • What kind of fish can I catch on Lake Chatuge?

    Largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, spotted bass, channel catfish, black crappie, bluegill, redbreast sunfish, white bass and hybrid striped bass are some of our favorites!

  • Are some of the areas on the property shared?

    Yes like other hotels or resorts some areas are for all guests. The two level dock, fire pits, outdoor seating areas, chidlren's playhouse,  outdoor bed swing, pergola with stringlights and all outdoor areas are all shared areas.

  • Can I park my boat at your dock?

    Yes, you can park your boat at our dock or on the property. There are a limited number covered spots available so please let us know in advance. 

  • Do you offer contactless check in?

    Yes, please let us know and we will make sure to arrange this for you. 

  • What type of payment methods do you accept?

    Credit cards, cash, & sometimes personal checks. 

  • Do you offer gift cards?

    Yes! Gift cards can be purchased here

  • Do you have to pay for the full property rental up front?

    For full resort rentals or bookings of multiple cabins, we collect a 40% non refundable deposit. The remaining balance is due 60 days prior to your stay & is non refundable if canceled within 60 days of arrival.
